Alright. The 2014 Polaris Music Prize long list was announced. And sure, there's some bullshit (like the terrible Arcade Fire album, and a sub-par Basia Bulat album), but there's a lot to like on this list.The Strumbellas, Kalle Mattson, The Darcys, and Timber Timbre would all be worthy winners.
If any of those four win I would be a happy person.
The short list comes out on July 15th, and the final prize will be handed out at the gala on September 22nd.
