Best of 2013: most disappointing albums

It's time to begin my recap of 2013, and what better way to kick it off than albums you should avoid giving as Christmas gifts.  These are the most disappointing records of the year, one's where the expectations were high, but the results were atrocious.

5. Mazzy Star- Seasons of Your Day
The reunion album from the dream pop stars turned out to be more of a snooze.

4. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club- Specter At the Feast
The decline of the neo-shoegazers continues with another completely non-noteworthy effort.

3. The Flaming Lips- The Terror
Wayne Coyne and company keep pushing boundaries in directions that they really shouldn't be pushed.

2. The Strokes- Comedown Machine
Maybe the band should concentrate on their solo projects.  Except Julian Casablancas, he should just stop it entirely.

1. Tegan & Sara- Heartthrob
For a duo as talented as these sisters there is absolutely no excuse for this radio-pandering piece of garbage.

Honourable mentions: Ra Ra Riot- Beta Love, Arcade Fire- Reflektor
