Grinderman to release "Grinderman 2RMX" album

While Nick Cave has announced the end of his sleaze-rock Grinderman project, the band will not be going out without one final glorious f-you.  On March 13th they will release Grinderman 2RMX, a collection of remixed of their stellar sophomore album.

Some of the more intriguing items on offer are Nick Zinner's (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) take on "Bellringer Blues", former Bad Seed Barry Adamson on "Palaces of Motezuma", The National's Matt Berninger providing vocals for Silver Alert's stab at "Evil", and Grinderman's own early demo of the same song, titled here "First Evil".

We also get the version of "Super Heathen Child", featuring legendary King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp, that appeared on the deluxe edition of the album.

Here's the track list for the remix record:
  • Grinderman / Fripp “Super Heathen Child”
  • A Place to Bury Strangers “Worm Tamer”
  • Nick Zinner “Bellringer Blues” (exclusive)
  • UNKLE “Hyper Worm Tamer”
  • Joshua Homme “Mickey Bloody Mouse”
  • Cat’s Eyes with Luke Tristram “When My Baby Comes”
  • Barry Adamson “Palaces Of Montezuma”
