Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame adds Guns N' Roses, Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers

The 2012 class of inductees to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame have been announced.

Entering this year will be:
A few thoughts:

It will be interesting to see how the entire G n' R induction goes down.  It could be magical, but in all likelihood it will be an absolute circus.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are a bit surprising to me as their work over the past 20 years or so detracts heavily from their incredible early career.  Californication is the ultimate tarnish.

I'm amazed that Donovan wasn't already in the Hall.

Glyn Johns is a deserving entry in the 'Sideman' category.  He's worked with everyone (almost literally): The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks, Bob Dylan.  He's still active, recently working with Ryan Adams.  His son Ethan is no slouch either, with Ray LaMontagne, Kings of Leon, and Adams among his production credits.

The 27th annual induction ceremony and concert takes place on April 14th in Cleveland.
