Great Lake Swimmers, Corb Lund, Cuff The Duke, and more take on classic Canadian indie on new comp

Canada has a rich musical tradition.  That's demonstrated by the new compilation Have Not Been The Same, Volume One: Too Cool To Live, Too Smart To Die.

The record, and it's clumsy-long title, are a tribute to the pioneers of Canadian indie music.  Some of today's best Canadian indie artists contribute including Corb Lund, Hidden Cameras, Cuff The Duke, and Snailhouse.  They pitch in with covers of acts like The Northern Pikes, The Rheostatics, The Inbreds, Skydiggers, Hardship Post, and many more.

Standouts include the perfect matching of Great Lake Swimmers with The Grapes Of Wrath, and Forest City Lovers doing an absolutely magnificent rendition of Sloan's "The Lines You Amend".

You can get the album via download at Zunior.  Proceeds go to support the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
