Kidstreet: "Fuh Yeah" (mini-review)

Fuh Yeah is the mildly provocatively titled debut album from Waterloo, ON sibling dance trio Kidstreet.

The album grips you right from the outset.  Edna Snyder's highly-processed vocals on "X" help make it mesmerizing.  The "Mickey"-esque beats that power "Birthday Boy" will have you toe-tapping, even before the unique hit-and-run vocals kick in.  Add some sultriness in the form of "Out Loud" and the group are really onto something.

It's a truly refreshing dance music album.

Verdict: Buy It

I like that the frequency of posts has increased over the time, however, it also kick-started a rather more unwelcome trend - these mini-reviews are highly unsatisfactory.

I loved your music/books reviews, still do but these mini-reviews are hard to like.

I hope you will get back to more of the full-reviews sooner than later!

Thanks, I appreciate your thoughts on it.

Time constraints (i.e. a new baby) have made it more difficult to devote enough time to do full reviews, and I felt that the quality was starting to slide. So I added these mini-reviews to deal with album's I want to comment on.

I'm still doing full reviews, but on a more selective basis.

Thanks for reading.

Well well now dats totally understandable.

Its just I’ve been around for quite a lot of time, and I had this on my mind so I... well no need to alter your approach. Thumbs up, and keep it going!
