Tokyo Police Club to release covers project as digital album

If you're anything like me, and I know you are, you've been enjoying strolling down memory lane with Tokyo Police Club and their project to cover a song from every year spanning 2001-2010.

As that project winds down the band have announced plans to release the entire thing digitally.  The compiled album will be available starting October 4th from the band's website and iTunes.

To recap, here's what we've got so far:
  • 2001 – “Southside” by Moby feat. Gwen Stefani (w/ special guest Morgan Kibby from M83)
  • 2002 – “Sweetness” by Jimmy Eat World (w/ special guest Michael Angelakos from Passion Pit)
  • 2003 – “Under Control” by The Strokes
  • 2004 – “Since U Been Gone” by Kelly Clarkson
  • 2005 – “Little Sister” by Queens of the Stone Age (w/ special guest Orianthi)
  • 2006 – “Long Distance Call” by Phoenix (w/ special guest Ray Suen from Mariachi El Bronx)
  • 2007 – “All My Friends” by LCD Soundsystem
  • 2008 – “Kim & Jessie” by M83 (w/ special guest Jamie Jackson from Hot As Sun)
  • 2009 – “Strictly Game” by Harlem Shakes
  • 2010 – TBA
