CMF announces shows including Janelle Monae, J Mascis, Land Of Talk, Black Lungs, and more

Canadian Music Fest, part of Canadian Music Week (don't worry, I don't understand why they insist on using two different names either), is set for March 9-13th in Toronto.

They've just announced a batch of bigger attractions for the week, including:

Land Of Talk

  • Adam Jones (Tool), March 12, Trinity St. Paul’s, 7:00pm (A world premiere multimedia presentation)
  • Ÿ The Indies w/ Janelle Monae, Shad, Hollerado, Bombay Bicycle Club, Hannah Georgas & Desperate Union,  March 12, Fairmont Royal York Hotel (Canadian Room)
  • The Indies Afterparty w/ Keys N Krates and more, March 12, The Mod Club
  • Ÿ J Mascis w/ Kurt Vile,  March 11,  The Great Hall
  • Land of Talk w/ Isis (of Thunderheist), Cadence Weapon, March 10,  The Opera House
  • Big Sugar (reunion),  March 11, Sound Academy

  • Embrace and CMF present Middle Brother (A revue with members of Deertick, Dawes and Delta Spirit),  March 11, The Opera House
  • CMF and The Union present MEN, March 12,  Sneaky Dee’s
  • Proud FM presents Gentleman Reg & friends, March 10, Gladstone Hotel
  • CMF and Embrace present Black Lungs, Sharks & more, March 12, Wrongbar
You can find the complete list on the website.

Wristbands are also available through the CMF website.  Although at the price of $75, it's getting a little pricey, especially when you consider that you won't even be able to get into the best shows.
