Johnny Cash's "American VI" gets release date

Twentyfourbit is reporting that the next installment of Johnny Cash's Rick Rubin-produced album series, American VI: Ain't No Grave, will be released on February 23rd.

While I'm a huge fan of Cash, I'm starting to get worried about a posthumous Tupac-ing of the legend.  We've already had American V, as well as a gospel album, an atrocious remix collection, and countless live albums and re-issues.  There's too much of a danger for dubious quality when you delve too deep into a vault, even one as great as Cash's.

According to the site the track list may or may not be:
  • Ain’t No Grave
  • Redemption Day
  • For The Good Times
  • First Corinthians
  • Where I’m Bound
  • Satisfied Mind
  • It Don’t Hurt Anymore
  • Cool Clear Water
  • Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream
  • Aloha
We'll just have to wait and see how accurate this all is.
