With the release of a double album and the launch of their own Silver Trembling Fetus Christmas tree ornament, you'd think Wayne Coyne and the Flaming Lips had gotten it all out of their system for 2009. Well you (and I) would be sorely mistaken.
Word comes now that the Flaming Lips and fellow Oklahoma band Stardeath & the White Dwarfs (featuring Coyne's nephew Dennis on lead vocals) are releasing a track-for-track cover of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Also in for the ride are Henry Rollins and Peaches. It's enough to make one check the calendar to see if it's April 1st.
The whole thing will be available for digital download December 22nd from iTunes.
