The Smittens/The Just Joans to release split single

An interesting upcoming split single has come across my desk. September 14th will see Burlington, VT's The Smittens release a four song split with Scottish popsters The Just Joans.

The Smittens' contributions are a cover of The Just Joans' "What Do We Do Now?" as well as the infectiously boppy indie pop number "Summer Sunshine".

From The Just Joans we get a playful take on The Smittens' clever slacker love tune "Gin and Platonic". They also rerecord their own "I Hear You're the Man Now, John" as a full band, which gives the track a travelling minstrel edge.

This is definitely something fans of indie pop would be rewarded by checking out.
