North Elementary: Not For Everyone, Just For You- Album Review

North Elementary are an indie power pop group hailing from Chapel Hill, NC.  The band's new album, Not For Everyone, Just For You, is scheduled for a February 24th release.

The band's uncanny knack for the hook coupled with a healthy dose of indie rock ethos creates a synth-based indie pop gem of a record.

The vocals are understated, possibly a little too understated.  However, the trace twang gives them an intriguing hushed Dave Lowry sound.

"You Have a Heart" adds cacophonous shoegazer drums and guitars to the synth-pop mix to great affect.  Strings are worked in to create a lush and full sound on "Speed of Lies".

The result is an elegant and sophisticated, yet fun collection.

If you are a fan of OK Go or Matt & Kim then North Elementary should be right up your alley.

Best tracks: "You Have a Heart",
