The music has a carnival atmosphere, combining the gypsy-punk style of Gogol Bordello with the theatrical flair of Dresden Dolls.
The record kicks off with the Gypsy violin party rocker "The Quotient". Trumpets and horns also blare throughout the album, but with particular aplomb on "History" and the going-out-with-a-bang closer "The Apology".
The band appears to like to experiment with the ebb and flow of their music. Wild swings and shifts keep the listener on their toes, and boogeying.
The dramatics are present from start to finish, aided by singer Clint Wilson's high pitched vocals. His pipes add a raw feel to the music. At times he sounds not unlike Jaguar Love...only with distinguishable lyrics.
Darla Farmer swing and jive playfully from track to track, taking the listener on a pleasure ride with them.
