Whatever happened to: The Cramps?

This week we go back for one of the most theatrical bands of the punk era.

The Cramps melded punk rock and rockabilly music with a campy creepiness that made them one of the most distinctive bands of their time.  During a time when most American punk acts were playing monotone songs as fast as they could, Cramps founders Lux Interior and Poison Ivy definitely made their band stand out.

They were going strong even as a new millenium rolled over.  But I haven't heard much from them in a few years.

So this week: whatever happened to The Cramps?
