Usually I save these for the end of the week, but in this case I'll make an exception.Doctors and Dealers and Southside Stalkers are a pair of Swedish indie bands featuring a charming singer with the moniker Sparrow. Both bands are set to release their sophomore albums on Sweden's Bluesong Records in early 2009.
Doctors and Dealers has a sound reminiscent of Holly Golightly or other '60s girl pop throwback acts. Southside Stalkers build on that sound with added elements of garage rock.
Both bands sound really interesting and I'm looking forward to getting my grubby hands on their records in 2009.
