Iggy Pop, Metallica, Run DMC among Rock Hall nominees

The nominees for induction into the 2009 class at the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame have been announced.  The nine nominees are:
  • Metallica
  • Iggy & the Stooges
  • War
  • Run DMC
  • Jeff Beck
  • Wanda Jackson
  • Bobby Womack
  • Chic
  • Little Anthony & the Imperials

Metallica and Run DMC seem like locks to me.  Here's keeping my fingers crossed that the Hall's voters are progressive enough to give Iggy the credit he deserves.
