Album Review/Stream: David Byrne & Brian Eno- Everything That Happens Will Happen Today

The long awaited album from David Byrne (Talking Heads) and Brian Eno (Roxy Music) is now available online. Everything That Happens Will Happen Today is the duo's first collaboration in almost 30 years.

As one would imagine, the record is chock full of swirling keyboards, meaty basslines, and World Music influences.

Never a pair for shying away from incorporating diverse elements into their music, Byrne and Eno span the range from an island strummer ("My Big Nurse") to 70's Bowie style funk ("Strange Overtones").

Byrne's vocals however, are surprisingly smooth and strong. There are few hints (with the exception of "Wanted For Life") of the spastic, herky jerky style he perfected with Talking Heads.

For those of you looking for something completely different you can't go wrong with this new offering from two of music's most accomplished artists.

The album is available in three formats: digital download, CD + download, and deluxe edition (which includes bonus tracks, a short film, and more). They can all be ordered here.

The full album is streaming on here.
